Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
No, once a bid has been placed you are bound to complete the transaction if you are highest/winning bidder.
However, if you have entered a wrong amount or the seller has altered the description since you placed your bid, you may contact the seller who in turn may contact info@bid4bees.co.uk stating the error and we may cancel a bid, however, this is at our sole discretion.
2. Can I cancel my listing?
Sellers that have placed items up for auction may apply to have their listing cancelled via the 'contact us' link on the home page. Please provide the item number, your User ID and your password when submitting your cancellation request. There is a charge for cancelling your listing early. These charges are £5.00 for bees, £2.50 for honey and other bee products and £1.50 for all other items. Please include in your request for cancellation that you agree to the charge for cancellation. Failure to do this will result in your listing not being cancelled.
Any items up for auction that have bids placed on them ARE UNABLE TO BE CANCELLED (unless under exceptional circumstances beyond the sellers control). This reason must be stated in your request for cancellation.
Please remember that as a seller - once a bid has been placed on an item you are contractually bound to sell that item to the highest bidder (as per the User Agreement 3.2) unless the reserve price has not been met.
Any items cancelled will not be eligible for any refund of fees or commission and the above charges will apply.

Fees are accrued in your seller account and at the end of 7 days an invoice is raised for you to pay. This invoice must be paid within 7 days otherwise you will not be able to continue listing items. Your account balance will continue to accrue fees following the issue of an invoice which is payable. These fees then become payable on the subsequent invoice and so on.
5. Whose responsibility is it to organise the courier service for delivery of bees bought on the site?
There are two options:
1. Sellers can put a figure in for the courier service and you pay this to the seller and they arrange the collection and delivery. In order to do this you must pay the seller the courier charge when paying for the birds and the seller pays the courier, they will also pass on the delivery details.
2. Buyers can opt for collection in person and organise the courier service themselves in order to get the bees collected and delivered to the buyer.
Please note that buyers and sellers must communicate in order for this to be a smooth delivery.

The seller will usually stipulate this in the listing. However, if you are unsure please contact the seller and ask them direct.
