| 2 x Swarm Lures Spring is on the way! Time to stock up on the equipment you will need this spring. Swarm season will soon be here so start making those swarm traps. Mixed using an all natural formula! These swarm lures contain the chemical compounds contained within Nasanov. Nasanov is the attractant pheromone that bees use to orientate themselves.
These swarm lures are good for the entire year. Each lure contains 1ml of attractant (enough to make two swarm lures if you want to!). The liquid attractant is contained in small plastic vials. When setting swarm traps open the lid of the vial then close halfway, this ensures that a small amount of pheromone is emitted throughout the summer. You can put a drop or two of pheromone from the lure on the inside of the bait box. You can also punch a couple of holes in the lid with a pin or small nail to release the pheromones. This means no need to re-apply other attractants throughout the year.
The lures have a small cap that allows them to be pinned inbetween two frames or to the side of a swarm trap. Swarm traps can be made from buckets, large flower pots, cardboard boxes etc. Catching swarms is easy and fun and a good way to diversify your genetics.
